What services do you offer?

Dr. Soutullo provides individual psychotherapy (counseling) and diagnostic intake assessments. She does not provide forensic assessments, custody evaluations, family therapy, couples/marital therapy, psychological testing, or medication management.

Who do you work with?

Dr. Soutullo’s teletherapy psychology private practice is focused on serving young adults (age 20s and 30s) who are experiencing issues like anxiety, worry, life stress, difficulty managing change, challenges adjusting, sadness, depression, and obsessive-compulsive symptoms.

What types of therapy do you use?

Dr. Soutullo tailors therapy to meet each client’s unique needs. She specializes in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and related approaches like Exposure and Response Prevention (E/RP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She may also use techniques from other evidence-based practices as needed.

Where are you located?

All sessions are conducted virtually using an online teletherapy platform. You can participate in session from your home or other private space using any laptop, smartphone, or internet-connected device. There are no in-person services at this time. 

When are appointments?

Sessions are offered on weekdays by appointment only, usually in the evenings. Most appointments are scheduled weekly or every other week.

How long are sessions?

A diagnostic intake assessment lasts 60 or 90 minutes and is required to begin therapy. Standard therapy sessions last 45 or 60 minutes per session.

Are you licensed?

Yes. Dr. Soutullo is an independently licensed psychologist in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. 

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Therapy might be a good fit for you if you find that stress, life changes, worries, mood, thoughts, or behaviors are getting in the way of living the life you want to live. A free, 15-minute consultation can help determine if therapy with Dr. Soutullo is right for you.

What are your rates?

A 45-minute therapy session costs $200, and a 60-minute therapy session costs $265. A one-time diagnostic intake assessment is required to begin treatment. The diagnostic intake assessment costs $265 for a 60-minute session. Before scheduling your first session, you will have a free, 15-minute phone consultation to determine if therapy with Dr. Soutullo may be right for you.

Do you accept insurance?

Dr. Soutullo is an out-of-network provider with all insurance companies. Dr. Soutullo can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. To learn more about working with an out-of-network provider, you can contact your insurance company or discuss this during your phone consultation.

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes! It’s important that you feel like your therapist is someone you connect with and trust. While a therapeutic relationship can take time to build, a free, 15-minute conversation with Dr. Soutullo can help determine if you are a good fit for each other.
